Chocs away for UBUK’s new go ahead! range

 

United Biscuits (UBUK), is announcing a major addition to the UK’s number one healthier snack to bring new consumers into the Healthier Biscuits sub-category. The new go ahead! Chocolate Thins range will help drive sales of the £53m brand even further for retailers.

Covered in delicious milk chocolate 

go ahead! Chocolate Thins are a selection of light crispy biscuit slices that are covered by a delicious milk chocolate topping. The range will be available in Orange, Strawberry and Cherry variants in a 5 x 35.5g multipack at an MRRP of £2.69, as well as an Orange handy pack at an MRRP of 68p or in a 55p Price Marked Pack. Each slice contains 73 kcal.

Launching in June, go ahead!’s £3 million marketing campaign will include a heavyweight TV campaign, a social media promotion and an extensive summer sampling programme to support the launch of the new go ahead! Chocolate Thins.

An indulgent range to feel good about

Matt Brown, Brand Director, UBUK, commented: “The Healthier Biscuits sub-category is currently worth £436m and growing by 4%, but there is still a huge opportunity to grow the market even further.

“Chocolate is the biggest selling flavour in the Healthier Biscuits market accounting for 21% of all value sales highlighting what a key opportunity the go ahead Chocolate Thins will bring to retailers stocking the range.

“Healthier eating has moved on from the days of regime, slimness and guilt to responsible enjoyment. People want tasty, indulgent chocolate snacks that they can feel good about eating and go ahead! Chocolate Thins meets this demand perfectly.

“The go ahead! brand has the highest repeat sales rates in the Healthier Biscuits sub-category and is bought by one in five households, making it a key range that retailers should make sure they are stocked up on go ahead! Chocolate Thins is an exciting new range that specifically meets this need and will help to generate extra sales.”
