UB retained Platinum status for the third successive year in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index despite the scoring thresholds being raised.  Platinum companies demonstrate that corporate responsibility is embedded in strategic decision making and have improved corporate responsibility management and performance over 3-4 years

December 2012 United Biscuits has achieved The Business in the Community award for environmental leadership. Sponsored by Asda, it recognises UB's progress in developing and implementing a broad range of environmental initiatives.
 
 

December 2012 United Biscuits achieved Platinum status in Business in the Community's Corporate Responsibility (CR) Index 2012.   
 
November 2012 United Biscuits (UK) have been named Gold Winners at the Zero Waste Awards.
 
 
 

November 2012 United Biscuits were finalists in The Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2012 in the People & Skills category.   
October 2012 United Biscuits (UK) won the ASDA Employability Award at the IGD Food Industry Awards 2012.

 

October 2012 United Biscuits (UK) won 3 awards at the Food and Drink Federation Community Partnership Awards 2012 in the following categories: Apprentice of the year, Export success of the year and Health & wellbeing.

 
April 2012 United Biscuits were finalists in the National Recycling Awards 2012.

 

 

 

 

 

November 2011 United Biscuits was named Bakery Manufacturing Company of the Year at the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards. The award is in recognition of UB delivering its sixth consectutive year of profitable growth, investing in its facilities, and developing the skills of it's people, while improving its environmental performance and community involvement.
United Biscuits is proud to have been awarded the British Safety Council's 2011 Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour for exemplary health, safety and environmental management in the workplace. UB is one of just two organisations that won both awards for 2011.

October 2011 United Biscuits won Silver Awards in both the Environment and Health & Wellness categories at the FDF Community Partnership Awards.

November 2010 United Biscuits won Gold in the Biscuits and Cakes Category of Yours Magazine's Best Loved Brands survey 2010. This is the first year that the awards have taken place and the result was decided by running a survey with 5,000 readers. For more information, visit the Yours website. 

October 2010 UB won the FDF President's Award, a Gold Award in the Environment category, a Silver Award in the Health & Wellbeing category and a Bronze Award in the Workplace Wellbeing category at the Food and Drink Federation's Community Partnership Awards.

 

 
 

September 2010 UB won a regional award for Environmental, Social & Governance, Team of the Year for the London & the South East and a national award for Corporate Social Responsibility Management, Team of the Year at the BVCA Portfolio Company Management Awards.
July 2010 UB won the Waste Minimisation Award at the prestigious National Recycling Awards ceremony in London. An award given for our group efforts in providing waste reduction and our commitment to recycling, resouce and waste management.   

 

   

 

July 2010 UB Logistics were nominated for 6 awards at the prestigious Motor Transport Awards which in itself was a fabulous achievement. Out of those 6, UB won 3 major awards for Environment, Low Carbon and Own Account Operator of the Year.  

 
June 2010 UB were finalists in the Green Supplier Category at the Grocer Gold Awards.
  June 2010 UB won a Silver Award at the Mayor of London Green 500 Awards in recognition of our efforts to become greener and leaner over the past year. 
June 2010 UB won a Business in the Community Big Tick Award for Achieving Sustainability. In addition, UB won a Highly Commended Award for Sustainable Marketing & Innovation.
